My name is Chris Emmons. I spent 3 years in college training to be a Marketing and Communications specialist, and now I am working in my field.

Why did I start my own website/blog?

Two reasons: the first is simply that I always wanted to have control over my own website; I just didn’t have the technical skill. HTML coding is fine, but once you incorporate design, php scripts, and all of those aspects, it quickly becomes more than one can handle. Enter WordPress. This blogging software has turned my dream of having a website into a reality, with only a learning curve as the cost. I highly recommend WordPress to others who are considering starting their own website.

The second reason is that I realized I haven’t been doing as much writing as I would have liked since college. My position as Marketing and Communications Coordinator has provided me with many different skill sets, which I am currently working hard at developing, and this blog will help with that.

I have this blog to express my thoughts, and mostly write about the things that are important to me. I plan on writing a few Marketing how-to’s and rant about company’s making headlines in the news.

I don’t know if my writing will ever be considered a benefit to anyone, or even a contribution to the web, but I won’t know unless I try. I welcome feedback on my site, recommendations and suggestions for content. You can reach me directly by filling out the form below.
